project summary:
This project was done for a group called kongo boys(dude). This group exists within an online game called Wynncraft. Wynncraft is a minecraft server that is part of a genre called MMORPG’s (massively multiplayer online role playing game). What this means is that there are constantly thousands of people on the game interacting with each other at all times.
Why does Wynncraft matter?
The game itself is positively massive. It’s huge to the point where someone can dump hundreds of hours into it, which many people do. The scope of the world and map is so huge it’s almost unbelievable.
The city that’s in the picture above is called Cinfras. and the massive structure on the right of it is the guild hall. It’s where players are first able to create and/or join a guild. These guilds are the foundation of what keeps the game alive today, and are the cornerstone of the Wynncraft community. But what does that mean for the individual and what do guilds actually do on the server?
Guilds can compete against other guilds to take over territories and then use these territories to collect resources from any player who passes through them. There is also a leaderboard in Cinfras that ranks all of the guilds based on the amount of territory they control and how long they’ve had it for. These points get collected over a couple months until a guild comes out victorious at the end.
Problem Statement
The guild I’m in for a game called Wynncraft has been asking for new designs for different parts of their discord server.

When I looked into the Kongo Boys(DUDE) guild, they already had certain iconography that they liked to follow, and so when I was ideating, I tried to pick up on as many of those pre-existing things as I could.
And I also did my best to continue carrying on the iconography that I had found in further concept sketching.
More Research
I did a deeper dive into every way that our guild has touched the server, past and present, and looked at what the leaders wanted for the future.
- Guild used to be Russian only, but opened up for more inclusivity
- We were the number one guild in the world for 2 out of 13 seasons
- We have really good relations with the other guilds near our territory
- Leaders really want to be number one again
- What our current guild plot looks like and what is being built/drafted for the future
I gathered an even better sense of the identity of the guild and the current public image we have.
The final product of this design project ended up being a simple brand guide for them to follow when making new media for their group. in addition i made two pieces of kongo boys(dude) branded media and showed exampled of how they could be implemented into their discord server.
